You will need to get the top of the AP as high as the top of the GM to really make a comparison. The AP itself is only 4' longer above the feedpoint which is at the top of the mast. The GM is 24' long above the feedpoint.
Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
