Does different coax affect swr?

"Marconi ]Hey RPC can you tell me a little about your installation?

What was wrong with the antenna and how was the antenna working before you had the coax changed?
Nothing was wrong
What frequency was your antenna tuned for?
27.205mhz
How long was the stock Wilson cable, the type of coax, and VF?
Dumped in trash
How long was the LMR that you had installed on your Wilson?
15'2" if I remember
What happened that was different...after you had the coax changed to LMR?
Nothing happened. It worked great.
not 50 ohms though

Aren't you the person that makes a BIG point about PL 259 connectors not being EXACTLY 50 ohms?

And that copper antennas worked better than aluminum antennas for receive in a measurable way and better than stainless steel antennas du to having lower resistive losses. Speaking of that weren't we supposed to get the results of that super-duper sensitive radio he had that was something like 0.0001 microvolts?

No problem with the stock results but you fixed it anyway.

Then no difference in results after you fix it, and it still worked great.

Sounds like circular logic rather than progress thru physics to me.

Other than a waste of time and money what does this show us RPC, or is it a secret.

Thanks for the response though.

I never made the 0.0001 microvolt claim.
AB7IF did according to his test equipment of dubious calibration.

I never used the factory cable. I had to remove my whole interior to install the antenna. Figured I might as well replace cable first.

I simply relayed what AB7IF told me.

Pretty sure you said it was Mark Shermin but maybe I was mistaken. You were sure ready to VEHEMENTLY defend that claim. You made that statement back in October and we are still waiting for that report from Sherwood Engineering that you promised us.

I think it is safe to trust the less impressive number.
I have no bench to provide numbers.
