Favorite external speaker?

dnk424,

I'm using a bedrail gripper mount. It can be found here- www.tmrce.com On the left hand side of the page click on the "Boss Hawg" system for big antennas.

Don't turn the amp. No squeal, no problem. (Just joking)

Most of the time the speaker will not be the culprit here. It probably has to do with your talkback and microphone.

Really like the Texas Ranger. Best ext. speaker I've owned.

I turned the speaker upside down and mounted it that way. Ya, ya, I know. But hey, I'm the only one who has to look at it upside down. Besides it still performs exactly the same.

Like the sound of the good ol' Motorola's tooooooooooo!

Hey there hossless, I don't know if you checked into this or not, but you can unscrew the nuts off the back of the speaker, then pull the guts out and flip the whole mess 180 degrees...that way you don't have to look at it upside down. That's what I did anyhow.

Let the anal retentive jokes begin! ;o)

Just picked up an RCA PRO-X33AV speaker at radio shack, catalog #40-5000 for $29.99. Works very well for base station applications. I like it so much I'm going to buy another.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
