What's the least corniest 10 meter export rig on the market? I've been out of the loop and wondering what's out there now. At one time, I think I had everything there was to get.

The best rig I last used was the McKinley export radio. I really liked it. I have the McKinley CB version in my car. I just found out all my locals are running 26.915. I need something to go there.

Anything I should get instead?

Radioddity QT-60 Pro or QT-80

You'll get many different responses here because as always, the best radio is the one you have. But here is the reason I chose Stryker. I like the convenience of having a knob to turn quickly to adjust RF gain, RF power, Mic gain, squelch, etc. Especially inn a mobile situation, one should not have to push buttons and scroll through menus to find the parameter you want to adjust. Stryker 955 still gives you the old-school method of finding your adjustments with mechanical knobs instead of fumbling thru menus. I think it's important in a mobile.

I ordered the QT-60. Does it have a noisey receive? I had to buy a Wilson 1000. My old Stryker magnet mount will not tune. Might be water in the coil. Anyway, the 11 meter mod is simple enough.

QT-60 and QT-80, both have physical front panel controls for crucial functions.

I don't think so. I think it has a very good sounding RX.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
