DX Radio Shop in New York is telling customers that the stickers on side of President Washington radios are warranty stickers and the president washington radios he sells have a serial number tied to the stickers (LIE). Some people have reached out to president electronics us and confirmed DX Radio Shop is misleading people. DX Radio Shop claims to be a honest shop. He refuses to admit he was wrong and make a simple video telling his viewers/customers the truth. Guess some people will do anything to make a buck.

He will connect and install the speaker prior to selling the radio? That's not a bad deal. Are we to assume he will apply a new "Warning" decal? If he does, that's not a bad deal also. What is the verbiage on the Warning label?
How does the wiring from the fan connect to the internals of the radio? Plug and Play, or solder?

It is not a warranty seal or a safety seal, it is a tamper indicating seal.

If the sticker was for safety, it would indicate not to do something in bright colors with internationally recognized cautionary symbols. I think it is pretty obvious that the sticker is a proprietary tamper sticker, not a generic safety label.

Whether cutting it voids the warranty or not is up for debate. They put it there for a reason, but I imagine it just serves to indicate if closer inspection is required prior to their usual troubleshooting. Looking inside your radio should not void the warranty. Imagine auto manufacturers taping hoods shut lol.

This forum is all about tearing into radios, I don't think anyone is framing their warranty cards here. If you value your warranty, ask them to fix whatever problem that has you ready to cut the tamper seal.

I agree. As you stated, it is a Tamper Seal. If President Radio Company is offering / selling the external fans, the company is aware that the Tamper Seal must be disturbed to connect the wiring harness. I located a video of the external fan / fans and the wiring has "plug and play" connectors and a new Tamper Seal is included with the fan / fans.

As President is selling the fan kit separately and must be installed, and as there is already settings in the software to control them it would be insane to say that cutting the seal to install a factory option would void the warranty.

Removing labels and installing accessories into a new radio can be intimidating. Purchasing a new radio and the fan kit from a Radio Shop and have the shop install the fans would relieve the stress and concern about warranty issues.

For some users you are correct, however there are lots of guys that are more than capable of working on their own equipment.
More prevelant in ham radio, but manufacturers would often offer accessory's that could be added to radios after purchase without voided warranty.

I agree, and if the buyer is gun-shy about installing the fan kit, ask the Radio Shop to install the fan kit when they convert and tune the radio to the 11 meter band.

I'm being neutral in this subject because I do not know anything about the ** Radio Shop in New York. I've watched and listened to the video you have attached several times. My interpretation is, when the shop orders the radio and fan kit and installs the fan kit, the serial number of that particular radio will include the fan kit.
Similar to "special" ordering a new vehicle. Some options and accessories are PIO / Port Installed Options. The VIN of the vehicle is assigned after all the options and accessories have been added at the Port of Entry.

6/29/2025: Ordered a part for my tractor and pre-paid with a Money Order.
7/3/2025: I received text notification that the shop received the Money Order.
7/6/2025: I received text notification that the part arrived at the shop on 7/5/2025 and it would be shipped-out this week.
I assumed July 7 to July 12.
7/8/2025: I received text notification that I would be informed when the part was shipped but I did not receive the shipping date information and tracking number. The part did not arrive during the week of July 6th.
7/11/2025: I sent a text message requesting when will the part be shipped-out. I received a text stating the part will be shipped-out next week. I assumed July 14 to July 19. I requested which day would the part be shipped-out? Did not receive a reply and/or the part.
7/18/2025: I sent a text message requesting the status of the part and I received a text message that they would call me tomorrow. I did not receive a phone call, but I received a text message stating they will text the tracking number to me. I did not receive the tracking number. I replied and asked when was the part shipped-out and they replied that the part was shipped-out last week.
7/22/2025: No tracking number and no part.

NOTE: The weight of the part is less than five-pounds and the shop is located within seventy-five miles from my home.

They put new labels in the bag with the fan kit to replace the original ones on the covers.

I think you my be getting close to crossing the "bashing" line.

How is exposing a radio shop lies "Bashing"?

1) Those stickers are not warranty stickers and cannot be used to void product warranty in the US.

2) It's impossible to tie radio Serial number to those stickers. The stickers just stay President safety seal with no numbers on them.

It's a violation of Federal law for any US company to use stickers to void product warranty.

They put those stickers there to try and scare people not to open the covers on the radio. FYI it's a violation of Federal law to use stickers to void any product warranty. Why does President Electronics US only put them on Washington radios.

DX Radio shop loves to claim (all the time) he runs a professional shop and does things by the book. Owner of that shop lies about being a warranty tech for brands that don't have his shop listed as one. A person on youtube pointed out over 30 videos on his channel where he acts like it's the first time opening the radio and powering it on and all 30+ radios were set to channel he always uses when testing radios.

He lies about the stickers being warranty stickers, and claims stickers with zero numbers on them can be linked to product serial number at his shop. All that for what, to make $10-15 extra selling fan kits and installing them. If he ran an honest shop, he would of made a new video addresing the misinformation.
