Well that's cute! Is that something new or is that a piece of history?
I bet it is. Not long ago I received a 500v with soldering that looked about like that and I had to have a word with John about it. He wasn't pleased but said the assemblers were definitely not doing well with the production at that time. That's some sloppy soldering, I am going to call Texas Star Monday and ask John if this is legitimate.
Supposed to be the new 350 with HG transistors

that's a really bad clone so much about that shows its not the real deal just because truck is selling them don't mean its from texas star the gaps are way off the blue light when the buttons already light up is an oddball why don't the nob match with all that aside smaller cabinets are not better things need to breath no matter what it is amps get hot radios get hot they all need the most cooling they can get or they blow up and then its the tuners fault or the manufactures fault according to the buyer but someone needs to ask mike about it there is a few people making new replacement cabs for texas star amps the font if even off from the real deal texas star ampsIt's a real thing.

I spoke to Mike, about a month ago. He is definitely getting hard to reach.Interesting, has anyone had any contact with TS lately?
I have called and talked to both John and Mike before in the past no problem, now the phone just rings and disconnects, no voice mail options anymore.

I heard from a random Facebook post that supposedly Galaxy was going to be shutting down allegedly Ranger was stealing galaxies ideas for radios and they wanted too much money to build radios And that's the reason why Galaxy doesn't have a wide variety of radios anymore because Galaxy doesn't have the capital to pay Ranger to make different lines of radios the last time I spoke to Mike he said that he was buying the Texas Star Line and was going to hire the old techs and bring on some new ones I believe but it was a very slow process and that production on the Texas Star was going to basically be at a crawl I'll see if I can find that message and I'll post it I don't know how credible the Facebook post is because people say things all the time I also Google and looked at a bunch of different shops and tried to find videos on the mini and I didn't find anything other than trucks selling it no other shops has it no other shops are advertising itInteresting, has anyone had any contact with TS lately?

I do know that the lead engineer, Mr Fan that was working for Ranger retired, he was the design guy for them, that was well over a year ago, and that's why ranger was re-hashing old model's.I heard from a random Facebook post that supposedly Galaxy was going to be shutting down allegedly Ranger was stealing galaxies ideas for radios and they wanted too much money to build radios And that's the reason why Galaxy doesn't have a wide variety of radios anymore because Galaxy doesn't have the capital to pay Ranger to make different lines of radios the last time I spoke to Mike he said that he was buying the Texas Star Line and was going to hire the old techs and bring on some new ones I believe but it was a very slow process and that production on the Texas Star was going to basically be at a crawl I'll see if I can find that message and I'll post it I don't know how credible the Facebook post is because people say things all the time I also Google and looked at a bunch of different shops and tried to find videos on the mini and I didn't find anything other than trucks selling it no other shops has it no other shops are advertising it
Hi....I designed the 350 mini as a sleeker design but part for part it is the exact duplicate as the 350 and using the hg transistors, however a smaller cost for the value without meter. this is straight from mikeI do know that the lead engineer, Mr Fan that was working for Ranger retired, he was the design guy for them, that was well over a year ago, and that's why ranger was re-hashing old model's.
This came from inside Ranger.
Fan developed the last Galaxy/Connex models, I don't see how Ranger could be stealing Ideas when he was the guy doing the design work.
He even testified before the FCC that he had redesigned one of the Connex models to make it harder to mod for out of band operations during a case.
I can confirm that TS was offered to Mike, and he had not made a decision last we talked.
I don't know.
Before I would just call and ask, John always seemed to be honest and straight up about what was going on.
With no answer to the phone.......
I guess time will tell.

And that makes sense for cost savings , one can only hope that with Mike at the helm quality may get bact to what it was in the past.Hi....I designed the 350 mini as a sleeker design but part for part it is the exact duplicate as the 350 and using the hg transistors, however a smaller cost for the value without meter. this is straight from mike
