I just picked this up a couple of days ago, it's Tidradio H3. This could quite possibly be a Baofeng killer. Here are some highlights:
- Small and light
- Built-in Bluetooth
- Adjustable mic gain with compression
- Long battery life
- USB-C charging
- USB-C Programming
- Supported by Chirp
- Comes in three flavors, ham, GMRS, and unlocked (all three are in the radio and are selectable via keypress at power on)
- Firmware is upgradable but not modifiable
- AM airband RX (not the best but very usable)
- Crossband Repeater
- Three power levels
- and the best part $30...
I am still messing with it, but I am happy with it. It can be programmed via Bluetooth but this is a bit of a misnomer, yes it can but
you must use the OEM software ODMaster on a tablet, phone, or PC.

Nice that it has adjustable mic gain. I had to do the modification to all my baofeng UV-5R radios to bring up the modulation. May have to pick one up soon.

Crossband Repeater
Nice.
I used to have a 580t and 590 that had full duplex crossband.
We used them often camping up in the Sierra when the truck on top of the trailhead could hit the linked repeater below but the low powered hand held from the camp site could not.
It's a useful feature.
For $30?
Can't go wrong there.

Nice that it added the Air Band, which isn't important to everyone. I'm still using an H6 that does 10 watts (since has been replaced by the H8) This H3 maxes at 5w.

Yes, the stock one and Smiley. The issue with my two is the RX gets easily overloaded, the ACG needs to work better. I am only five blocks from a major airport (Midway).

I got one too. Very pleased for the amount of money. I hooked it up to my discone and wow this little radio sounds pretty good.

I bought two of them on a package deal. I like them a lot, even though they are very small. The bluetooth programming is a cool feature, and it will do 220 in addition to 2m and 440. As mentioned, they do airband too, but I have a scanner for that. Nice to have that feature, though.

My only real complaint is the battery easily comes off if you drop the HT by accident.

Their website runs some pretty killer specials from time to time... the knock off of the Nagoya 771 dual band antenna works very well on all my HT's, and you can get them for 1.99 a piece on sale.

Been trying to use that on an H8, be damned if I can get it to work. Not blaming the radio or the software, just the operator.

I can't get mine programmed very well. I just tossed it in the junkbox
Have you tried it with Chirp? That's how I did mine. Then when I travel, just use the BT app for local repeaters and add them from channel 100 on up. I change them to whatever city I am in every time, and leave the rest programmed for local use when at home.
