Texas Star Sweet Sixteen

Well if you are made out of money you could put MRF454 real ones not fake ones in. Your looking at $200 for a MP though. If you really have money to burn you can still get real Toshiba's but last I checked NOS is like $200 each.

I would run it as is and just do not do anything stupid like pushing the voltage like you could with real Toshibas! I would get a matched set of HG2879's not the "C's" and keep them on hand so when you need them you have them!

In 1991 $9-$12 for SD,MRF,2SC bipolars. I remeber when Toshibas hit $24 each aroud 1998 or 2000. Builders like BBi, Tin Man, Dave Made and on and on ruined it for everyone by pandering to ignorant customers with deep pockets. Now we are paying the price. We are lucky that HG exists!

Run it clean and at 13.8V not 16V or 24V and enjoy the amp!
I keep my voltage@14.1 and have 6 new HG2879 on hand.
