My problem is that I want to run two #8 wires from my battery
to my transmitter inside my car. The Jetta is very tightly built
with no exposed wire grommets that you can push a wire through
on the firewall. I spent most of the day removing panels under the
engine and dash and the only solution I came up with is to drill
a hole thru the firewall.
My question is has anyone found a easy way of doing this on this
type of vehicle and what type of grommet is best for this and
where do I get them. Not to keen on the rubber ones they sell
at the auto store.

Thanks in advance,

I'm curious why you don't like the rubber grommets? They do the trick to keep the metal from rubbing the wire sheath. The other thing you can do if you don't like the grommets is drill the hole just big enough for your wire; carefully route the wire through so as to not scrape the sheathing off, then when you get the wire where you want it, use some RTV silicone in the hole to seal it and hold it in place. I'm sure others have some good ideas, too.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
