just for kicks i took these pics this morning for you .theres been alot of discussion about alternators ,mauls,multiple batteries .well heres whats possible with just 1 alternator , 1 battery,and a 2by 12 box .
the alt a ford 3g rebuilt to 240 amps ,i run a overdrive on it .

ok ,heres the resting voltage 14.5 ..not bad for a internally regulted ford alt

13.91 not to bad .......i use to be able to hold more ,i might need to clean my connections .keep in mind i been overdriving this alt for many years ,at least 4 or 5 ,and the battery is that old too .
if i was cruising down the road i am sure i could get that up to 14 volts at a 1k key .
so ....now that you know this is possible ,why buy a maul? unless you want to volt your box but then you should be prepared to replace pills ,smell smoke ,spend money .because unless everything is just right you really dont want to be volting .let that for the big boys .
i hope you learned a little something ,you dont need all those batteries if you got the proper alternator .:thumbsup:
