when i bought my 148 gtl it had tr24 remove i replace it but now the radio has no swing with out it it dead keys 2 watts and swings to 6 watts when i put tr24 backin it only swings to 3 1/2 watts.???any one else seen this happend before.??

That's normal. TR24 on those radios are the modulation limiter, replacing that transistor limits the modulation on both AM and SSB. You won't get as much swing out, but you'll definitely sound a lot cleaner, especially on SSB.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
