148gtl variable power mod?

Does anybody know where i can find clear instructions on installing a proper variable power control on a cobra 148gtl?
I found one on here but the instructions are kinda scattered and a difficult to understand.

The way I have done it is to get a potentiometer the same value as the one on the board, remove the factory one and then run three wires to the board. Never had an issue doing it like that.

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
