Hey gang....was wondering what y'all recommendations for a good full featured "starter" base station would be without spending an arm and a leg? I'm real new at all this. Just recently re-discovered radio. looked over the reviews of the Galaxy dx2547, seems pretty nice. Going to run barefoot for a while till I get the hang of everything but may go with power later on. Is the 2547 fairly "modifiable" or plug and playable so to speak? What r y'all's recommendations for a starter base?
