I have an older 23 channel crystal controlled radio, it's a Roberts Rcb 11, I have been noticing some audio problems lately, like the audio comes in an goes out, but I don't think it has anything to do with the audio itself, could this be frequency drift from these older crystals? This radio was made in the early 70's. I also had a strange problem it only lasted for a day, but the blank spot on the channel dial was getting audio, an usually it don't, it normally is suppose to cut the audio when its switched to that position.
