I was going to turn down the ssb power a tad on my 2510 but is seems to have no effect on power out. Anyone have any ideas. I need to check the pot maybe it has gone south. I could before vary the ssb power with it but not any more.

Found out why my alc pot is not working. The guy I sent it to for alignment said he dis-abled it for more modulation on ssb. He said the 2510 can stand having this done but most radios can not. He also said they just don't have enough adjustment in that circuit and when you cut it loose on a scope and analyzer they come to life. Just don't use a power mic he said. I am not sure to believe him or not.

I connected the alc back up and turned down the ssb power to about 25 to 30 watts pep. wish I had a scope to look at the signal but it has to be cleaner with the alc in the circuit than with out.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
