2970 DX New Version

has any one seen this new version. i'd like to know if i can mount it on a flat surface and with the smaller heat sink and fans will it still stay cool and get enough air around it and keep cool??? also any good pictures of this radio?

The pictures that I have seen of them does look like they will sit on a flat surface just fine.

Sledge hammer two the new 2970 Dx version has a smaller heat sink on it and i think two small wisper fans installed already.

sixwheeler did you purchase the 357Dx form Bob's cb? and what mods if any did you have done. lets us know how well it works for you.
