UPDATE
I put 250 ohms in series with a 1n4001 and ran it parallel with r292 radio is now providing good average swing and a very good adjustable dead key range.

I also removed the two resistors on pin 1 and 2 on the audio IC added the cp-1 compressor on the audio IC.

JasonD: What version of the board is your radio? Is it the ept695015c? Or do you know the approx mfg date?

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
