I went to buy a used 29 chrome, but the displays were basically going out, so I spotted a 29lx, Anyway I took it home opened it up and turned the power down to 2 watts and the D11 was already snipped, hooked my 203 to it and red devil power mike and I talked skip all day from the midwest to the west coast.
These radios are pretty darn neat. The weather is nice to have also.

Great find, glad it’s working for you. Now about that pic, I know you weren’t trying to talk skip on the bowl with a kl203.
