36 v /100 amp power for cb?

Hi,
I have power from a 36 volt, 100 amp power supply on my truck.
I am sending power to my Cobra Black Chrome Stealth Competition radio.
The radio requires only 13+volt and 25-30 amps.
Can I run from this supply without harm to the cb radio?
If not. What do I need to do to be able to power the cb radio from this point?

You cannot run your cobra at that voltage, why? because that is 3 times the normal operating voltage so you would need some sort of voltage regulator to bring it down to at least 15 volts as not to destroy your radio.

You see most of the components in that radio are rated for no more than 25 volts for short periods is why you should not exceed the manufacturers recommended operating voltage.

Check with davemade or xforce for a regulator to handle that voltage.

Jimbowilly : What you call a truck i assume its a transport of some sort ? If so it should have 12v.dc. at the fuse block or a additional dc pannell in the same area dedicated to 12 v.dc. that runs all your 12 v.dc powered items . [ stereo, lites etc.] You should be able to check with a voltage meter to determin where you can tap in to hook up your cb etc. Should read from 12 volts dc to 14.8 v.dc. if motors running or not . Keep positive + & negative - polaritys hooked-up right & stay away from lines that feed items such as blower motors , wippers ,signals etc; that cause interferance . Hope this helps ? Bob.A. That radio wont need 25-30 amps. 8 or 10 is more than it needs.
Wait, i just noticed its a Black Chrome Stealth Competition radio.

36volts must be for a forklift charger.
battery chargers are not power supplies.
They're not regulated the same way.
