i know a guy that a a tube amp for sale and was wonder if this was a good amp. it has 4 572b tubes. is it worth messing with. thanks
 

What kind of amp is it? 572B type amps are generally pretty good.The 572B is a REAL RF transmitting tube,far better than the sweep tube type amps.A four tube 572B amp should deliver 12-1500 watts pep without being pushed too hard.I am currently designing a homebrew amp using four 572B's.
 
this guy said he was driving it with 25w and was seeing around 250 watts out of it and it is also a home brew amp. but he said he was driving it with a smaller amp and it pegged his little dosy metery that read 1000watts max
 
depending on the price it may/may not be such a hot deal. Beats the hell outta sweep tubes for sure!
