I saw in an earlier post about an inexpensive meter that someone saw 7 using. When I looked it up on the

R-Shack site, it says you can't measure Power output on SSB without a Low-Frequency Oscillator, and that it should only be installed by a "qualified technician". Can someone enlighten me as to what that is, how much it costs, and how you hook it up?

Mole,

I own one of those $29 rat shack, meters pwr, and swr, reads power in 20/200/2000 watts

it says that in the instructions, but if you say "ahhhh" in the mice you dont need the oscillator.

Boy, since Dean moved the forum around, a lot of the old posts from sections that were down below are starting to get noticed. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> I didn't get an answer to this one 5 months ago, so i went out and started reading (what I should have done to begin with).

Thanks though, to those that answered...I'm sure it will save someone else a little time!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
