949 tune up

Let me state this first - I've never tuned up a radio before <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">



I have a pot chart from galaxy (www.galaxyradios.com/959949adj.html)



To increase me power and modulation, do I just turn up VR 14, VR 16, and VR 17? I wouldn't turn them all the way up, just to give a litte more umphh.



My knowledge would say I wouldn't have to align the radio afterwards, am I correct?



I do understand electronics very well, but just haven't played inside a radio <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
