just wanting to confirm my beliefs here..

between the center (+) and threads (-) at the connection point, there should no short...

i have one of each here that are both showing a short, me thinx they've crapped out

I think they are supposed to be DC shunted.
Let me check . . .
Yup - shows no resistance.

Just because it shows a DC short doesn't mean it reacts the same way to RF - which is AC.
 
that AC / DC RF stuff just didn't make sense to me when i made a maco copy . but it's how things work . LOL
 
thanx for the feedback guys....shyt every other antenna i've used has never shown a short so for this to be the norm for this style of antenna is straight up weird :blink:
