Welcome to the forum 1958, a pretty good year.

I have an opinion about the A99 and maybe many guys mess up a little fiddling with their antenna when it may not be necessary. A lot depends on how well the company does what they promise, of course.

The A99 is a CB antenna and is cut for 11 meters. It is also very broad banded, so that alone suggest that you should be able to operate it over a much larger range than CB 40 channels which is only about 20% of the typical and available Bandwidth.

First check your SWR, and if its close to 1.3 or less at a frequency of choice in the CB band, then leave it alone and let the very wide bandwidth do the work.

Frankly, I don't believe, within reason, perfect tuning or NOT really affects the performance very much in such designed antennas that are functioning correctly and close to the design frequency when checked at the location for the install.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
