Adding channels

When people add channels to a cb, where do those channels come from, 10 and 12 band? I am not wanting more, just wondering...

Most people are interested in having the "freeband" frequencies which are slightly above and below the CB channels. These frequencies aren't allowed to CB or Ham bands. Most people don't use a CB for 10 or 12 meters.

Still illegal to use the freeband frequencies but since they aren't readily used by another service that would be impacted it isn't a huge deal.

27555 USB is a popular international calling frequency.

Bells actually has a pretty good explanation on this - http://www.bellscb.com/cb_radio_hobby/freq_locations.htm

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
