I'm shopping for a fairly new mobile dual bander for the wife's car. She just got her Tech. license Monday.
I want one with Alpha memories to make it easy on her.
I'm looking at the Yaesu FT-7800/7900 and the Icom IC-207/208
I think I'm correct that both Yaesus have alphas and the Icom 208 does but NOT the 207.
Can anyone confirm this please. I don't want to make a mistake and buy a used radio only to find out it doesn't have alpha memories.
The Kenwood G707 is also a consideration, I know it has the feature.
Although, for the money, the Alinco DT-635 looks pretty nice. If I buy a new one it will probably be the Alinco, then cross-band repeat would be an option.
