Im new to all things CB so if i say anything wrong please correct me. Ive a Ford Explorer that im looking to ad a CB radio to. Nothing extravagant, just something to play with and listen to when i travel and talk with buddys who also have CB's. What id like to do is get two identical antennas, one for the CB and another for AM/FM. Ive read about the AM/FM/CB combos, ive yet to find a site who sells them however. They sound like a great idea but i keep reading that they degread the quality of the CB. So im looking for possibly one combo and another pure CB, identical in appearicne. So i guess my question is, where can i find two identical looking 4' antennas one to handle AM/FM and another to handle CB? Thanks in advance!

Toast,
There's a fairly good reason you don't see many of those AM/FM/CB antennas for sale. Most, if not all of them, are junk. Has to do with feeding a strong RF signal into/too close to the AM/FM radios, not to mention that the CB portion is not easy to tune at all. Oh, the idea is workable, but not until the other radios are much better quality than is commonly available (the AM/FM ones).
The number of good CB antennas far out number the 'less good' ones, so making a selection is up to you. I'd advise leaving the AM/FM/CB thingys alone.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
