Amp board cleaning,

I want to clean the dirt and grime from my 16 pill? But don't want to use anything that's going to harm the parts or the lettering.

I hear you. I happen to have 16 pill skullcracka all org amplifier. I want to ether trade for a steel tube amp or sale It. So I was trying to clean her up not that she Is all that dirty lol. Just want you to know I appreciate the help for sure.

What do you mean by dirty? Some really good vintage tube transceiver repair places I know use steam from a home steam cleaner and regular cleaners like 409, Simply Green etc...You find all kinds of industrial cleaners being used by different repair places. I just use Industrial Alcohol for most of my cleaning and a paint brush if it is just routine dirt and dust.

Once you have it clean if you know it is operating right and you do not plane on blowing parts once a month consider using a good conformal coating to protect it from the environment.
