Texas Star DX500 all the way!!! I have a few of these and they are excellent and reliable Ive had my 550's and a 400 for years and only had to replace pushbutton lightbulbs the 500 will take a massive input on SSB but with 30-40 watts SSB and 2-4 watts AM STAY AROUND 2-3 WATTS DEADKEY TO HAVE A NICE CLEAN SIGNAL you will have a master blaster that will last a long long time but remember the most important is ADDING A FAN ON THE HEAT SINKS!!
