Hey Greg, it really is a bare bones system, a few miles if there is a lot of noise, and the skip is rolling in, better at night when it is nice and quiet maybe 6-8 miles . If you really get the CB bug thing goinig on (like some of the rest of us nuts) you will want to up-grade both antenna and radio post haste, but for little money, and limited use, it should be fine to listen for road hazards, and talk to drivers around you.

AudioShockwave helped me make my decision to buy the Cobra 18 and Wilson's Little Wil. I was wondering how the recieving and broadcasting distance is with those two units.

Just curious <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/bestwishes.gif ALT=":best">

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
