Antenna extension?

Friend was given a coil ant. make unknown. the only way to get the coil above the cab of his truck is to use a antenna extinsion. Was wondering if this will effect his radio performance and if its going to be tough to get his swr's down.

FL Native wish I could. The ant threads onto the extision and then threads onto the mount in this case its part of a mirror mount bolted to the bed and then grounded to the frame.

well if it lengthens the bottom to much shorten the top stinger.
