So a friend has somehow broken off the antenna off his walkie. Not only did he break the antenna, he also broke the antenna jack. I happen to have a sma connector laying around and I thought about using this to replace it. However after taken the unit apart, I noticed that the only wire coming out for the antenna was a single copper wire, which I assume is for the center pin. The question is where would I connect the ground from the mount to the circuit board, or if I even need too, since it seems like it only had one wire in the first place.

Thanks !

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
