the higher the better for local, but i think you are just fine! If your antenna is 50 feet, then that is fine!!!

I have an anton 99 on top of my roof. The bottom of the antena is at about 50 feet frm te ground. Is this high enough for decent transmit/receive or should the antenna be at 40/50 feet from the top of my roof? Thanks for any help.

Do you guys run amps or what? I wouldn't want to give out any false or illegal antenna height information.

The Max height imposed by the FCC for a CB antenna is 60 feet to the tip, or 20 feet from the top of the roof. My understanding of the interpretation of the roof top wording is that it is really intended for commercial buildings, not residential.

If you have a Amateur license you are allowed antenna height up to 200 feet without any special permission, unless you live near an airport. Oh yeah, don't forget about those Home Owner Associations and local ordinances, too.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
