How about some help on this one! I would like to know the best place to mount an anttenna on a 1985 van. Also, how about some opinion's for what kind of anttenna i should use.I guess i could mount my steel whip on the rear bunper but i would think that mounting one (anttenna)on top would be the best way to go.Any idea's<img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon53.gif ALT=":53">

Re: Antenna location on a chevy van.

Boy, if height isn't a problem, mount it on top, use a 102" whip (tallest), Wilson 1000 (magmount or permanent mount), Wilson 5000 (magmount or permanent), or even a Predator 10K with a shorter shaft (Kale should be able to tell you the right length shaft for that).

Re: Antenna location on a chevy van.

Usually for the roof mounts, you use a different stud. Something like a Gum Drop mount. You can also seal the outside with RTV Silicone.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
