This is extremely helpful, although the locations are different. I wasnt aware that pep should be done in conjunction with average. Thanx so much!!

PS, Am I to assume that VR1, 2, and 3 would be the pep adjustments in the 901?

I am assuming but not totally sure. Also I BELIEVE the accuracy of that is for radios above 5 watts. So when doing low power adjustments you will need something with a higher dead key than a Cb. Just looked it up
SWR Detection Sensitivity: 5W min.

Yes, this isn't really an issue since the lowest my 990 will go is 11 W. I wish I COULD get it down to 2 watts or so, but no joy there.

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
