Any of you designers, new or old, do any chip programming? Any "Elmers" for programming? I partially shorted the main contorller for my keyer and would like to restore or replace it as the rest of the unit is fine. Of course the company and keyer are no longer available. Last resort, would be finding another unit to pair up and make one good one. Any suggestions welcome. KJ4IYK

What type of chip is it... eprom or pic
I have an old eprom programmer... if you knew the programming ( and it is eprom) I might be able to do one for you.
The big thing is the programming... I have a bunch of emprom chips...so I can program one up and send out if you know the programming.

If its a PIC chip microcontroller I'll have to say no.....I just don't have alot of experience with them.
One big problem is I live in Canada..... it might be alot easier for you to find someone closer.
I'm in the middle of moving right now ... I'll try to check back to this thread when I can
