I noticed the other day when I applied brakes on my semi that the static on my Galaxy would drop, and I could pick up signals I didn't hear a few seconds before. I run a Wilson 2000 antenna, has anyone experienced this situation?. <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon60.gif ALT=":60">

From K0BG's web site..."If you're bothered with rolling static, I suggest a static drain. This one is made from an 1/8" piece of vinyl covered stainless steel aircraft cable purchased from my local Ace hardware. It is attached to the transport tie down using a heavy-duty lug which is crimped and soldered. About 1" of the cover is removed from the outer end and the individual wires are splayed out. For the doubting thomases out their, don't knock it until you try it. It works just like static drains found on every airplane flying!"

It's cheap enough to try.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> There is some other good info on his site...http://www.k0bg.com/

It would probably take a LOOOOOOONG time for air to wear it out.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)"> The pic makes it look like the wire is touching the ground but it's not. Just like on the air planes it hangs in the air.

Well it works on airplanes. You might have to add some wings.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon7.gif ALT=":7"> <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon54.gif ALT=":54">
