Better Base Antenna... A99 or PT99, or similar?

Getting back into this after 40+ years. Building up my radio room. Which antenna? I seem to feel the A99 is better. Or is there another(s)?
I live in the desert, no antenna restrictions, but I also trying to budget a little as I'm retired now.
I have had 2 A99 and both have served me well and I have talked all over the world with them, they are a solid simple base CB antenna to use,I do believe however that the ones that they made in the early 90's were a better quality than the ones being made now but that's just my personal opinion,I'm currently on my 2nd A99, if you are looking to stay in budget,I would go with the Antron, however if you are looking for something better I have heard the Sirio 2016 is a step up,I currently have brand new in the box a Sirio 2008 all metal antenna, was planning on replacing the A99 but I don't feel like climbing up on the roof again at the moment,I plan on keeping it though, hope this helps and Welcome to the WWDX forum, great group to be a part of and full of great gentlemen who are willing to help you out and answer any questions you or others might have radio related, etc!!!!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving
