The airwaves are sparse up in my area as well. There are a few cluster of folks on the am side (ch 19, 8, and 28). I am usually on 55 with a small group of folks. We had a swapnet on 55 on Sunday's, but that ended due to someone rebroadcasting it on ham freq's. Unfortunately some with nothing better to do ruin it for others.

I live in Elmira , NY (35-50 miles west of Binghamton) and we have a local SSB club here called "Delta Bravo 12" . We meet on 35 LSB every Wednesday & Friday night at 8:00 p.m. EST . If you have the ability to do so , stop in and say hi ... everyone's more than welcome to hang out.
