Board Repair Cobra 29

I found an old cb repair cd that I forgot I had from a company in Chicago and it states in the transmit repair section:

Is there a signal of 27.185 MHz at TP4?

Two possibilities here. IC3 is still not working or L20 is open or very much out of alignment. Not much choice. Suspect an open L20 if the signal is present at Pin 9 of IC3. Try tuning L20

I tried tuning the can and nothing with it in or out, so I supect this is the culprit.

My question is I have some old radios and can swap out the can, but to properly test it, is it done with ohmeter?

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
