Good antenna kit and works well, but the whips are a little fragile, I have black painted telescopic whips and have had to repair them a number of times, I'll be looking to replace them with something a little more durable when I get back to Blighty. The antenna mount can be a bit of a pain in that rotating the antenna can loosen the upper sections and the antenna collapses, this is due to the way the sections are locked in place. I've spoke to Budd Drummond a few times including during the Buddies in the Caribbean DXpedition to St Lucia, the antenna works well and has allowed me to work some quality DX here in Gran Canaria, even with 10W portable:

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
