i run a 1max 2000 ,radio, power supply, swr meter,no ground antenna tuner, and a low pass filter on the base..would a buss bar be off any difference on this set up ? have everything grounded right out the window to a grounding rod with about 6 feet of wire..the antenna has its own rod at the base of the tower..

imho i think having everything grounded at the buss bar would be a simpler
instal and just 1 wire going outside to a single grounding rod.

Where does one find a buss bar? Or do I have to make my own? One would think that there is someone that mfr's these gizmos. I still need to get one.

It is supposed to be - bussbar to grounding rod (like hotrod said), and a ground wire from the antenna mast to the grounding rod. It is also advised to bury some copper wire in the ground some distance to the grounding rod - to improve the whole ground circuit quality.

I made my own bus bar for under 20$ at Home Depot. The rod on the bus bar is a section of ground rod that I found at the shop. It's connected to an 8' ground rod with a 4' run of solid copper wire.

and yes.....my table is made in Malaysia

I used some thick copper sheet that I cut into a 3" strip the length of the table with tin snips. I got it at a local metal supply wholesaler for fairly inexpensive. I also picked up a small roll of copper foil while I was there for grounding purposes.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
