From looking around on ebay it appears that a replacement Channel LED chip is different than all the rest, for this radio, and I can't seem to find one right off.

Anyone know what type or part number I need to be looking for? It can be a factory green one. Don't really care about the color.

Or does anyone have a older style Cobra 25 side mounted mic / Philippines - as a parts radio with known good Channel LED they would sell?

Thanks for any help!

Hi Booty, the item I need is not on the page you linked to. That page has meters....not what I'm looking for. Looked around the site and didn't see anything. Thanks though !

sorry , for some reason my eyes read channel LED but my brain thought meter LED :(

I have a known good oem channel display led for the cobra 25 I'll mail you for free if I find it this evening. PM your mailing address.

Wow Ratso you da man!

However I'm going to nevermind everyone off on this one. I went back into the radio today to see if maybe it had a plug-in ribbon connector or something that might have been loose and I could take apart and clean and stuff. This one is all soldered in.....they may all be that way, but this Philippines 25 is built very well and I do not even want to go to the trouble of taking apart what would all have to come apart to take this LED out and put another one in. So it's going to have to stay like it is. Radio works great and came to me free. I had to make a couple of minor repairs to get it going so now it's just an extra backup radio or I will sell to someone local cheap who needs a basic radio. It's just not that important of a deal to me to go to all the trouble it would take to fix the channel readout. Two segments are out on one side but you can still easily tell where you are.

Thanks for the help anyway guys!
