Jay, This is the antenna I have been running sense the 70s.
Just took it down and cleaned all of the all of the tubing and resealed the coil. I also sprayed the coil with insulating coating, the same stuff that electric motor re-builders use. Now it looks brand new. I hope you get the antenna. I would buy it but I am saving for a beam. Chow.
There are a quite a few of these still being used here in the Lincoln Nebraska area (was home to the factory). But as far as new in the box ones go yes it is indeed a rare antenna.
You see a few of em(used) pop up in the paper here and at garage sales but even that is becoming more rare.
WOW more money than I would pay.<img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/wow.gif ALT=":wow"> <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/wow.gif ALT=":wow"> <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/wow.gif ALT=":wow">
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
