I have a CBS 1000 and need to know the value of C32. It is where the Channel Guard would be installed. I want to move the channel guard, and replace the cap to keep the radio functional. I've looked at several places and connot find this info. If anybody knows, I would sure appreciate it.

C32, which is in between L33 and L34, is a 1.5 picofarad capacitor.

these coupling capacitors are often increased in value in order to broadband the RX mixer stages, and ill bet you could get away with 2 or 3pF and it would work just fine.

you can surely find one of these caps in a junk radio as just about all cb's use them for coupling receiver stages together.

just look for the tiniest caps you can find. LOL

good luck,
LC

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
