Got a radio today from an E-bay auction. Radio,Coffin mic, box, manual and all the rest. The Power cord is of real good quality new and unused. The mounting bracket and knobs with rubbers also appear to be new but good quality, not that thin bendy stuff. The radio looks like it could almost be new inside and out and must have had very little use. The radio sounds great on the receive and transmit. I think by the out-put is is most likely stock and I don't see any mods. I think I waited a long time but got what I wanted. Might of paid a little extra but to me it was worth it. Ihe radio is 1989 Phili model with coffin mic. The one I had years ago about 1992-3? had a slightly diff. mic. It was more square, still 5 pin looking for it, I kept it when I sold the radio.( sold the radio with a D104 hand held mic. Any body know about the other style mic or where the radio might have been made?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
