COBRA 148 NW

Hello I have a cobra 148 nw a guy brought me to fix only thing is i cant solve the problem and ist agrevating me...lol..anyhow, the radio keys up and dead keys 5 watt on dosy aand swings to 20 after you modulate for a second it cuts out and it wont key up again til i let it sit or a few minutes and then it keyed did the same thing again.anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.....
