I was wondering if i could use the amp off a ranger 2970 and hook it up to a cobra 25 just like the stinger amp but utilizing the heat sink off the original and adding it to the case of the 29. And if there's a solution, I want to know how it could be done.(Wiring Wise that is). By the way the 2970 is not working at all. but the amp is still good. thanks

I don't see why not. I have seen something similar to this only with a Galaxy 959 and a 2970 amp section. I really don't know the particulars, but study how it was done in the 2970 and adapt it to the 29.

yes! this is an old 2970 and it's just a parts radio now. Amp still works and i wanta use the amp. I just wanted to know how it could be done.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
