I have one of the new "FM" Cobra 29's that I'm working on and I can't seem to get it to look nice and clean on my scope. Injecting 30mV 1000hZ tone into the microphone jack. With a cap/resistor swing mod, obviously the scope pattern looks like garbage, squared off. When I removed the swing mod, the scope pattern didn't look much better unless I was very conservative with the AMC adjustment, and at that point there was hardly any audio. What gives?
On my meter, I'm seeing about 4 watts with no audio, and about 15-16 with the tone on. There just isn't much audio unless I max out the AMC, and when I do that, the scope pattern gets wonky.
Limiter is intact, also.
