Got a cobra 29ltd that is 10khz off frequency. Example on channel 19 the frequency counter shows 27.195.

has the delta tune been unlocked? if it has it might do that,,, key up and turn delta tune and see if freq changes
Checked that out. Had no luck there. Just figured it was a common problem getting off one channel
glad you jumped into the radio and started checking for bad solder joints. so many do nothing and keep asking questions about a radio not working properly and 90% of the time it is a bad solder joint in the PLL, VCO, and audio sections of the radio.
Derrick so many think all they have to do is ask why their radio does not work and some one can tell them what part to change and most of the time is just what you found. some one will tell them to clean all the controls and check for bad solder joints and at times I do not think they have any idea what they are told to do and come back and say that did not work. very good job Derrick, keep up the good work
